Wednesday Hodgepodge Vol. 154

1. According to Oxford Dictionaries, the 2013 word of the year is 'selfie'. Your thoughts? When did you last take a selfie? Do you post them online somewhere?  Do you prefer to be in front of the camera or behind the lens?

I use the word and take selfies.  My last selfie I took was not in the bathroom, although that is where many people take selfies, but it was at the Christmas tree place after I cut down my Christmas tree.  I post my selfies mostly here or sometimes on Facebook.  I love doing both- in front or behind. I love capturing other people's memories and I love being in pictures to capture my memories. 

2. Will you send out Christmas cards this year? If so, are they ready to go? If not, are you glad or sad about leaving that tradition behind?

 I have always sent out Christmas cards, except for last year and it felt really weird, so yes, I will send out a Christmas card this year.  I will probably get it from Costco, so it can be a picture card.

3. Do you trust easily?

I trust everyone until they break my trust.  Once my trust is broken, then it is very hard to earn it back. 

4. Pine-cinnamon-peppermint-vanilla (as in sugar cookie)...of those listed, which one is your favorite December scent?

Peppermint for sure! I love it in lotion, coffee, candy canes, disks, candles, anything and everything.

5. Did you do more talking or more listening yesterday? Was that by choice or necessity?

Yesterday I did more talking.  One, because I was at work and I had to talk to teach the students.  Two, because I spent time with my friend Vivian.  And three, because it was a necessity.  I would love to be a lot quieter if I could be.

6. What's the last song that got stuck in your head? Sorry if it's back there now :  )

Thank goodness, it's not the fox song anymore.  My sister told me there was a Wedding Chanel on Pandora, so I listened to it the other morning and this song came on.

 

I knew the song had words and it drove me crazy that I could only sing some of the lyrics, so when I got to work I found the song 

7. Which world explorer (in the whole history of the world) would you most like to have traveled with, and why? 

 Oh dear! I should know a bunch of explorers since I teach about all the explorers that come and discovered America and other explorers that traveled from the East Coast out here to the West Coast.  I guess I would

 The infection in my sinuses has moved to my eye. Therefore I have conjunctivitis.  I'm so not impressed with it.  I probably should stay out of the swimming pool, huh?!?!
