Thankfulness Day 15

Thankful to be able to what I love all weekend, which is watch sports.  Started in Yakima to watch State 2B volleyball

The following day we headed north to Ellensburg for some CWU volleyball

And then on Sunday I was back in town for some GU basketball vs. Stanford.

Sometimes Facebook is amazing! The other night I was scrolling through my feeds and saw a post about one of my hula sister's daughter's coming to town to play some volleyball. I got so excited because I was going to be in town and I could go and watch her.  My parents were also in town, so it was great for them to come with me too.  

My mom took a "picture" of Nunu and I before the game and then we got to watch her play.  

She did a good job of playing, but her team was pretty much out matched by the other teams they played.  We heard that they were playing up a division and they were a low ranked team, playing higher ranked teams, so they had some disadvantages, but they did score some points, so that was good.

Volleyball Rules in This House!

We've been playing since we could hold our hands together and hit the ball. It's at every family function, graduation party, and sometimes just in the parking lot while we wait for things to start. We are a family of volleyball players, not necessarily all good volleyball players, but we are players for sure. We've gone through many balls, nets, and fences. We love every opportunity to play, so when my cousin Kalei had a graduation party, we busted out the net and started playing....see everyone has skills.







Even some skills that a volleyball coach would never teach you, like the art of distraction.




Just to let you know, our volleyball team (school) made it into the playoffs with only one win, but we had to forfeit because we all had to be at school on the night of our last game!

Volleyball!

I'm back on the court again and last night was our first game. I had some pretty good hits and I think once our team starts talking and knows there places everything will be even better. I'm so excited for the season!
