Safe and Sound

After 2174.2 miles, 4 states, and 25 days, I am home again.  I had an amazing journey of visiting with family and friends, taking a wonderful photography workshop, attending a wedding, and taking in all the sights and sounds of many towns. So glad I did it, but also now glad to be home.
In the following days you will see updates to my blog.  I will post dating them, but will add links to this post as I do, so you can check and click on here to find the new blog posts.

3rd Leg of the BTE- Montana

As little girls my sister and I used to go and visit our grandparents in Montana for a week.  My parents would drop us off for a week and then my grandparents would take us back out to our parents.  I thought it would be fun to continue the tradition, so off I went out to my Grandma's for a week of girl time.  We had tons of fun hanging out, visiting my uncles, making pintresting projects, shopping, making cinnamon rolls, and watching a little tv.
On my way over, I wasn't hungry until I stopped at this little gas station. They had popcorn for $1.99. I loved it and ate it all.

And some jerky here.

Took a tour of the state capital on a train.

Drove home at night and got sunset pictures.

BTE Spokane- River Cabin

After the wedding I headed up to meet up with my sister and the family at their neighbor's cabin.  It was gorgeous and the next day we spent time on the river: swimming off of the dock and taking the boat out for a ride.

These were breakfast goodness called Balls of Something...I forget, but they were biscuits with ham and cheese on the inside and sesame seeds on the top. They were super yummy.

And a little girl decided she was going to do some water skiing.

She wiped out after she got up a little. The hardest part was that she didn't let go of the rope and she got dragged for a bit.  Once she finally let go, her dad and I swam out to get her and then her daddy decided to go.

He got up a little bit, but then crashed too.
