Girls Camping Trip--Lake Day

Every summer we do a little camping up at Hoodsport. This year we added an extra girl and her little ones. It was nice and hot and perfect for Lake Kokanee.

Girls Camping- Reading Day

We started each day with a little bit of reading because the two little ones were in a reading challenge. Us adults were super intrigued by it and ended up making our own challenge. We will read books for 2 months and then the losers will buy the winner (person who reads the most novels) a book and a bookmark in the form of a $5 gift card.

Beach Camping Part 2

And so we camped in the amazing sun of Washington and even had to put some sunscreen on! Crazy I know, but it was awesome. Someone was so super excited to get to the beach,

that only this chair got set up and then off we went.

Then we walked and walked and walked all the way to town and back.  Then we got back to camp and set the rest up.

Breakfast cooking.

We thought about playing football, but it was flat...

So I read

Then we went to watch the sunset.

Then it was dark and we had to light the lamp.

The following morning someone else came to eat breakfast with us.

We went to town that day to do some window shopping and change up the 3 straight days at the beach, plus it looked a little wet after the night of rain.  Thank goodness my tent didn't flood.  Didn't find anything except some yummy lunch, so if you are ever in Ocean Shores go to the pizza place, Dugans, across from the beach! It's yummy! Later that day we were at the beach and the wind came up and started blowing, so we headed back to camp and after we started a little bit of a fire, it hit!

It tried to put out our fire and it did for a bit, but we bailed all the water out of the fire ring and were able to restart it! Yes!

That night was a bit cold, but luckily I stayed dry in the tent and the following day it was bright and sunny to pack everything up in and go home.
