5th Annual Girls Weekend
Over Spring break, we headed up to Port Angeles to celebrate 5th Annual Girls weekend. The house was super cute and even had a working hot tub!
Although the weather wasn't super warm, we still toured the town, went to the beach, and did some hot tubing (in a monsoon). We also tried to go to Hurricane Ridge, but the road was closed, to what we think must have been snow.
We painted some pottery, watched some movies, played some games, and did some reading. It was a great time just getting to hang out and be away from our normal lives and all the hustle and bustle.
The view out to the ocean from as far as we could get up to Hurricane Ridge.
The view towards the ridge. Can't see much, which was stinky, because we actually were timing the weather to go up there when it would have been the best time to see everything.
We also stopped at Fat Smittys. Where the burgers are as big as your face and double stacked.
There is money all over the walls and ceiling there. We even added our own dollar to commemorate our trip there.

Grils Camping Week
I love how with some friends, it's soo easy to just pick up with them where you left off, like no time has passed. This past week Nalley and I met up with Nikkii to do our annual camping trip and it really was just like that. I hadn't seen Nalley much of the summer as we were doing different things and Nikkii used to work with us, but moved to another school to be closer to home, so we don't get to see her as much.
This tradition started 3 years ago. We all pack up and head out to property, located in Hoodsport, Wa, that is owned by Nikkii's family. We ate and drank and ate and drank and shopped and ate and drank and talked and drank and slept and read and drank and ate and had a wonderful time. This year we decided to each take a day and cook all the meals for the day, hence we ended up with 3 coolers and three totes.

which housed all the essentials

We also decided that all of us would sleep in one tent,

with each of us getting our own (queen or double) air mattress. It was a tight fit, but tons of fun. I was in charge of fire making, so I had to do some wood splitting.

Nikkii was impressed with all my Central gear, but couldn't figure out why I had it cause she thought I only went to Eastern. (Eastern was my Masters and Central for my undergrad)

The weather was nice the first day,

but overcast the other days,

so we stayed mostly up at camp until we ventured out and found this nest up in the rafters.

Girls Weekend Summer 2011

This past weekend a group of my fav. friends gathered at Mayfield Lake and enjoyed each other. We chatted, drank, ate, played games, and did some reading. We all have such busy lives and it is so nice to get together and share in our lives. We took a few trips down to the lake and tried to make it on a boat, but no one was offering rides. Boo!!! I also did some exercising, which I was very proud of, cause vacation means no working out! But this time I did and it was good. I didn't die! Thank goodness.
We were wild and crazy ladies and stayed up the first night until 11:05! Wow!! The second night was a little bit later 12:05 after a little game took us away from our nerdom of reading books all together in a room.
I'm soo happy that we got our time together and can't wait for another weekend together.

We also did some shadow pictures, we wished we had one more person so we could do Y-M-C-A

Oh well next time, just like the picture of all of us in our new bottoms. Soon you will get to see them....

Girls Weekend Anderson Island Style

We had a girls weekend for our birthdays at the beginning of the year and couldn't wait that long again to bring these wonderful ladies in our lives together again for another one, so we didn't.
This past weekend 9 of us boarded the ferry and headed out to Anderson Island. We were able to stay at the Thoreen's House on the island and it was just perfect for us. We did lots of laughing, eating, playing games, walking around the island (2hrs. worth), a little swimming at night, and more eating. We also created tank tops to commemorate the weekend (which is also, pretty much the only time I had my camera out all weekend.
Many of us had worked together at one time, while others were friends from college or middle school. Such a wonderful group of ladies that all just seemed to mesh and have a fun weekend together. I was super sad that two of the girls that came out, missed the first ferry they were going to ride on and then were too far back for the second ferry that they were going to come on, so their time with us was super short, but so glad they made it.
Can't wait for the next one girls!

Girls Weekend
We rounded up the girls and headed out on a girls weekend out in Shelton! Yes, Shelton. We found a great cabin to rent and we were off!
We enjoyed each other's company, played games with prizes, ate way too much food, and stayed fully hydrated the whole weekend!
We for sure can't wait for the next one!
