I messed up and didn't post on the last day, but now I'm post-posting...to tell you all I have Zilch. I just ran out of steam. I really did enjoy the process of blogging everyday and thinking of things to blog about. I'm glad that I didn't stick to one topic, but kind of went all over the place...although when I look back, they are all about me, so I guess I was the topic.
I think I will try it again next year...I'm already thinking of the letters, although maybe a project I started in the past could just be re-shared during the month. I will have to think about it. Until then bloggers...
This project is zipped up!

Y is for Yes, I'm Behind
I can't believe it!
I did so well!
And now?
Now is when I struggle to find words?
Words to go with letters?
Boo to me!
Boo to Y!
Well and really, boo to V, W, and X too!!
Poop!
----Oh wait! Did I just do it! Did I just come up with something for Y? Something like Y-E-L-L!
Hell YES! I did!
Some people may say I Y-E-L-L all the time!
Just because I love the use of !!!!!!! in my texts or because I have a loud speaking voice!
But it's Not True!
I have a very calm and soothing voice.
Just ask my sister! (we have the same voice!) or my students!
So therefore Y isn't just for Yes! I'm Behind! it's also for Y-E-L-L!!!!!!!!

X is for eXploring
I love exploring! Exploring new places, new things, new people. I love it all.
-edited-
Yesterday (4/28) I did a do a little exploring and experiencing in my first trip fishing since college. We got everything ready and then headed out to find a lake and some space to fish. Needless to say, all the lakes we visited were packed with fishermen. After visiting a few lakes, we found one with a little room, so we did a little fishing, but had no bites, so we headed to another lake. After headed down a trail and then off the trail we found a little spot to do some more fishing from. I started off well, but then it all went down hill as I got my line caught in a tree and then under a log. As the sun began to set, boats kept passing in front of us as our lines set in the water and one of those boats caught a fish right in front of us! Boo to that boat!

W is for Water
I am a water baby! I love water!!! In the form of the ocean, lake, pond, creek, river, and drink, but no way, shape or form of RAIN or SNOW! Then I would hate it.
I grew up around water. We were at the beach, at the pool, in the sprinklers, skipping rocks and fishing in the creek, jumping of bridges into rivers or floating them. I've always been around it. I can't imagine living in a place without it.
I was so excited when I was moving to Birmingham, Al, because according to the map there was tons of blue, which I figured was water (which I couldn't really figure that out, cause I knew Birmingham was landlocked), come to find out it was just a color on the map, not denoting a lake, river or pond!

V is for Value
Value! I'm always looking for it. I have a hard time spending my money on anything. I don't understand why. It's not like you can take money to Heaven with you. It's not like it's going to do me any good when I'm gone. BUT I have a hard time buying things unless it's a good value or has a good value to me.
I have to really loooooove it, before I purchase it.
I always ask myself, "Will I be sad, if I don't have it?"
Then if the answer is yes to both questions, then I carry it around the store with me for awhile to see if I still love it.
If I happen to purchase it, then I take it home, but leave the price tag on just in case I want to take it back, because I fell out of loooooove with it or I was able to convince myself I didn't need it.

U is for Underwear
No! I don't wear panties, I wear underwear! Little girls wear panties, women wear underwear.
And really, if I could ONLY pick ONE piece of clothing to wear for the rest of my life it would be underwear. Maybe it's a comfort thing, but I really do just love it.
No lace or silk, just cotton for sure, but in different styles. I used to wear the high-cut, then I moved to the bikini with the two elastics on the side, and now I'm really into boy short cut, as I tend to have issues with my underwear riding up into regions that it's not supposed to be in and boy shorts seems to stay down.
If this was a TMI- sorry, just wanted you to know.

T is for Tickling
Tickling, tickling, tickling! It is so fun to tickle a baby and listen to it coo and giggle. Tickling a kiddo is fun to as they giggle and giggle and giggle and want you to do it more and more and more. But when it comes to tickling an adult...that can go one of two ways: no reaction what so ever or side splitting hilarious. One of my friends is so ticklish all we would have to do is wiggle our fingers in front of her and she would start laughing and couldn't stop. Other friends aren't ticklish at all and of course are NO FUN!!!
I'm ticklish, in one spot only! (And of course I will not tell anyone where that spot is) Although to my dismay, a few family members and friends have figured it out. I tried to play it off, for many years thinking, maybe they will forget, but no such luck. They kept poking and prodding so much so that anytime anyone's hands were close to my body I would tense up and jump away, thinking they were going to get me. Thank goodness it's calmed down a bit and we've grown up, but every once in a while a wayward hand will brush or touch the spot and my body is tensed and jumping out of it's skin.

S is for Samples
It used to be only Saturday that you would find samples dotting the stores aisles. To get one you had to be with an adult and had to listen to the speal of the Sample Lady before you were allowed to take your sample and it was only one per customer.

Costco has changed that all. Samples are offered every day. You no longer have to listen to the Sample Lady at all, you just walk up and take, eat, and walk away. And it seems that it's no longer one per customer: It's one for me and oh, one for my wife or girlfriend or husband that is over an aisle (aka AT HOME!)
When this new sample phenomenon started taking place, our family would have Costco samples for lunch and then share a hotdog on the way home. It was amazing. We would take one of everything with no discernment of what it was or if we were going to like it or not. Plus it seemed to be a race to see if we could make it around to all of the sample places before they were out.
But now as I've gotten older, I started to slow down and actually listen to the Sample Ladies as they try and sell their product, taste it, possibly make a comment about how good it is and then move on.

R is for Race
The United States is a melting pot, a multitude of races all mixed together, which has created a nation of amazing people. People full of culture.
I'm one of those people: Hawaiian, Chinese, Irish, Norwegian, German, and some others I'm sure all mixed together.
My sister and I were raised heavily with Hawaiian tradition and food and the others sprinkled in every once in awhile. We took hula lessons, took our shoes off at the door, and obeyed all adults not just our own and knew that if we didn't any of them had the right to discipline us. We kissed and hugged everyone hello and goodbye and everyone older was called Uncle and Aunty, which made their kids your cousins. We ate food every place we went and were told never to turn it down. We heard stories of the Gods and ghosts who inhabited the islands and wondered if one day they would show up on our doors. We ate lefse and sushi at all holidays and Chinese on Christmas Eve. We celebrated Chinese New Year, Girls Day, and St. Patrick's Day.

Q is for Queen
Queen Kili that is. It all started with a little game like Ultimate Slap Jack. Each player picks a card and makes a rule for the card. Then each player flips over a card until a card with a rule comes up. When it does, then everyone performs the rule. The last person got the cards. Obviously the point of the game is to be the first one to get rid of their cards.
I always picked the Queen and people had to hold up their hand and say, "Hail Queen Kili!" I soo loved everyone saying that, so much so the whole "queen" thing has traveled into my work day.
I get tired daily of being called teacher, teacher, teacher, or Ms. Chock, Ms. Chock, Ms. Chock. So when I am at my whits end, I tell my students they have to call me Beautiful Queen and nothing else.
As a joke, I added Beautiful Queen to the Valentines list. Surprisingly this is what came in.

I so love my kids.

P is for Passion

Passion is what moves me and drives me and currently my passion is baseball. I love the smell of the stadium, the fresh cut grass lines on the field, the uniforms, the crack of the bat, the ball smacking the back of a mitt, opening day. I love it all, so much so I bought a 6 game pack and am already thinking that might not be enough.

P is also for pancakes (yummy!!!) and popcorn.

N is for Next
Welcome all you A to Z Bloggers! I'm soo excited you decided to stop by. I hope you enjoy the read and come back often.
N is for Next because I'm always wondering what is Next. What is going to be on my plate Next? What show will I watch Next? Where will I go Next? What hair do shall I have Next? Wear next? Do Next? Write Next? Eat Next? Create Next?
Always wondering and planning...never stopping, always wondering what will be Next.

L is for Laughter
People always tell me that they love my laugh and that it makes them laugh. I love to laugh, giggle, snicker, cackle, snicker, hoot and holler, and chortal. I love it all. Yes, sometimes I'm too loud about it. Yes, sometimes I happen to do it at inappropriate times. Yes, that is me at the back of room quietly giggling.
Things just strike me differently than others and then I'm laughing. Sometimes I can think of things weeks and months later and it will strike a chord and I will be laughing again. Sometimes I find things soo funny that I can't stop laughing.

J is for Jesus
Jesus has been apart of my life, all my life. I grew up in the Lutheran church after being baptized Catholic. I went to Sunday school and taught it, attended Vacation Bible school and youth group, and then was a peer minister in college.
His presence in my life grounds me and keeps me headed in the right direction.
Baby Jesus may you watch over all of us throughout the day as we walk in your footsteps. Please bless my family and friends always. Thank you for bringing me to this day and for all the things and people you have given me.

I is for Ice Cream!
Oooooh how I love ice cream. It is my favorite dessert! (well, that and cookies) My favorite is peppermint. Not mint chocolate chip, but peppermint! They are different mints!
I love mixing my own at Cold Stone or ordering up a cone at 31 flavors and a new favorite has been fro-yo. Yes, I know it's not ice cream, but FROZEN yogurt is still good. I'm totally going to get a big bowl today.

H is for Hugs
I love hugs: front hugs, back hugs, side hugs, leg hugs, arm hugs, all type of hugs...The closeness that you feel when being hugged is amazing. I could live in a hug forever. They can mean so much and say so much as well. And today I got 2 amazing hugs one that I hadn't had in over a year and one that I never wanted to let go of.

G is for Great Gals
I love all the gals in my life. They are so amazing. They keep me grounded. They keep me on track and call me out when I'm going astray. We laugh together, cry together, and have way too much fun together. I love my gal pal time as it rejuvenates me and reminds me that everything is going to be okay in the end.
