52 Weeks of Awesomeness Week


I love this photo and all my green. I found when I was putting away my clothed the other night that I had 7 T-shirts, 1 tank top, 4 green sweaters, and 1 button down. I'm just a bit green crazy…and it even looks like my hair is a little green.

52 Weeks of Awesomness Week 9: JOY!

This girl brings utter joy to my face.  She is my best friend from 4th grade.  We used to get in all crazy sorts of trouble together.  I know, your thinking, Kili- get in trouble no way! Well I did and got grounded too from seeing this girl! She was such a bad influence on me.  Hee hee.  I moved away when we were going into 6th grade and we became pen-pals, which continued through middle school, junior high, high school, her first baby, me going to college, her second baby, me graduating college, me moving to Moses Lake and Alabama and all the time she was just a letter away from me.
She is still in the Spokane Valley where we first met and while I was visiting my sister, I also got to visit her.  It was so good for my heart and soul to see her.  She reminds me of those boy crazy, fearless girls we used to be.  I'm so glad that she is still a part of my life.

52 Weeks of Awesomeness

So as I was carrying in my ironing board back to my house, I saw an amazing scene and ran inside and got my camera and started shooting funny thing was that is was perfect for this weeks 52 Weeks of Awesomeness.  Here is the first shot with a slow shutter speed of 1/400 at f2.8 and then I turned it up to 1/50 at f1.8 and then finally at 1/30 and f1.8.  -thanks Karen for all the manual photo techniques and hometown homies. I love you all as well.

52 Weeks of Awesomeness Week 5

Although I'm sure there will be a lot of gluttony towards the end of the week, my gluttony right now is actually these

Scarves.  I have so many. Knit ones, crocheted ones, fancy ones, pom pom balls at the end of ones, green ones, black ones, red ones, yellow ones, orange ones, brown ones, white ones, UW/WSU ones, grey ones, and on and on.  I love them.  I pair them with long sleeve shirts, jackets, hats, mittens.  During the winter, my neck rarely sees the light of day and I stay warm.

52 Weeks of Awesomeness Week 4

Whoo hoo! I'm back to being awesome this week and although I didn't get my picture done by Tuesday. I worked really hard on this one. I had to make sure the lighting was perfect and thankfully it was today. So here is my natural light photo taken about 3ish today


and here is my artificial light photo taken tonight at 8:30ish.


See I told you, I worked really hard on these both.  I loved my nap time during both of them.

52 Weeks of Awesomeness Week 3

This week is honor an with Veterans Day happening yesterday, I thought it would be wonderful for me to head out to the National Cemetery in my area and take a few photographs. I was so happy with how many of them turned out. They looked very moody to me. They are the headstones of fallen soldiers that I've never met, but I'm so happy for what they did for us.
