Saw It. Pinned It. Did It.
I love creating and I finally pulled out a new toy I've had sitting in the closet! I saw this sign
on my aunt's Facebook and really loved the saying, so I decided I would the Cricut to create it.
Thought I could put it on the boards, but it wasn't big enough, so
I moved everything onto a canvas and it worked!
I wanted to jazz it up a bit, so I painted the background, while I sat outside and enjoyed my new chair.
In the end, it turned out amazing!
I loved using my Cricut, but I wanted to make it more friendly to use...aka put the stuff I need to use with it out, so I will use it more often.

Arm Knit Blanket
So I bought this yarn a really long time ago and tried to make a Arm Knit Blanket. Instead of using needles to knit the blanket you use your arms. First you make the loops on one arm. Making sure they are tight.
Then you start your knitting to move the yarn to the other side. But see how mine is super loose...well it had to do with the fact that my arms are really big and I think that I was using the wrong type of yarn. It didn't seem to work and after half a day I stopped.
So instead, I tried to return the yarn...sadly it was past 90 days, so I didn't get to return the $60 worth of the yarn. So I bought a crochet hook and started to make a blanket. And I crocheted and I crocheted and I crocheted! It was hard work and my thumbs really were hurting and I'm still not done a week later.

A Little Crafting
Did a little crafting and by little I really do mean little...
Used my laser level to make a straight line.
Hung the frame I found at Michaels for $8.
Went shopping at Hobby Lobby and found a K to hang inside the frame. I was worried it was going to be to big and not fit, but it was perfect. I also wasn't thinking that I wanted metal to go in there. I was thinking more of using wood, but it looks good. At night with the lamp on...
Lamp off.
And in the morning with sunlight.
Sideways and

St. Patty's Decorations
Felt the urge to be creative this weekend and as I was putting away all my Valentines Day decorations, I found this printable.
I thought, I can make this! Plus I had the perfect spot for it...the back of this.
First, I started by taping off the stripes and painting the white.
After 3 coats, I removed the tape and painted the black.
Then, I cut out a template and used it to trace on top of the painted background. Then I painted it green.
I traced the lettering and then used a gold sharpie to write it on.
And up it went!

Saw It. Pinned It. Did It.
At the end of last Halloween season I found 4 black pumpkins for 75% off, so I bought them and knew I would be able to use them this year. I wanted some white ones too, but they didn't have any at the store, so I decided to spray paint 2 of them and then add some decorations.
Because I live in an apartment, I didn't want to spray inside or on the grass or just on my cement, so I used a cardboard box to spray in.
This was one coat, so I did a few more.
Interestingly enough the paint wasn't sticking to one part of the pumpkin. I had to go over that spot multiple times.
Thankfully after I went over it multiple times, It actually stuck and worked well.

So they were white for about a week and then when the niece and nephew came over I added a little decoration to spice it up. I love it!

Saw It. Pinned It. Did It. Continued...
My art kick continued over the weekend…and I created another art piece to finish my wall decorating. I found this stuck in my computer and knew it needed to get out of there.
I already had a canvas painted and ready to go, so I painted the flower
and then printed the words out.
I was super tired of using a pencil as carbon paper, so I actually went and bought some carbon paper.
It worked like a charm. I only had to trace everything once and I could totally see it when I was ready to paint everything.
The crappy part was that the black paint wasn't really flowing smoothly, so I changed it up and used a sharpie instead. I was also really conflicted onto what color of brown I should use for the words "beautiful" and "no flaw". I tried one brown and it was too dark, so over I painted with a lighter brown and I liked it a lot better. After two coats of brown I was done.
And up it went on the quote wall.
After looking at all the quotes on the wall,
I realized that I had a lot of quotes with flowers…might be changing that up after I do some other home projects.
