Day 8 Days of the Month

8 - Women's Day: Tell us about an important woman in your life.

There are so many important women in my life. I seem to be, some sort of, collector of them.  And they all play an integral part of my life at different times and in different places!  So if I had to pick just one, I will choose to share about the one whom I just spent the weekend with doing girly things and the person I will be spending a week with this summer following my traveling dream.

Cassie Nalley (who I typically call Nalley, because we use to work together and we go by our last names) and I met when she first interviewed to work at my school. I was super excited when she got hired (she was my first choice), but we didn't really hang out until one day when I sent out a text message to all the people in my phone to see if anyone wanted to go out and get Mexican.  She was the only one that responded, so we went and ate. She was super quiet and didn't say much. I thought, Great! I guess we won't do that again. I can't talk the whole time.  Little did I know, there were reasons she was so quiet and luckily enough for me, we did go out again and our friendship grew into the super strong bond we have now.  We have both moved away from the school that we first worked at and are 3 hours apart from each other, but not a week goes by without a text or an email and not a month goes by without us seeing each other.  We have travelled together in the States and internationally.  We have tons of fun doing just about anything (alphabet adventures) and everything.  She is person I call when I need to vent as well as the person who goes dancing with me until the wee hours of the morning.  She is strong, confident, trustworthy, funny, a thinker, caring, and  outstanding.    She enjoys sports, movies, music, and reading books just like me.  I, for sure, love that girl!

Monday Night Football

And celebrating "F" day!!!!

We Finished work, Freshened up, and went down to watch Monday Night Football

with over 56, 000 Fans. First on the list was Frankfurters (mine had cream cheese and caramelized onions)

and then Flashed our tickets to the ticket takers. We were in and in line for the elevator before we realized that there were Free Seahawk beanies. Boo! We went up to our seats and got our Free Soda for being D.D. instead. The Seahawks did amazing

and won us even more Free stuff. By the end of the night we ended up with Top Pot Doughnuts, coffee, a stack of pancakes from IHOp, a slurpee and jerky from 7-11, and a free haircuts.
About halfway through the game, I was totally Frozen, but we stayed the whole time and Finally as the last seconds ticked away, the Seahawks were the winners!
And so were we! As we left the game we had another Frankfurter. What a Fantastic night with my Friend, Santa!

Celebrating "G"

Today Cassie and I took on another letter. I know, two in one week! We must be crazy, but we are determined to celebrate each letter before we get old! Oh wait....
Getting a late start, we Got in the car and rode down to the train station (so Glad we have it) for the second time this week and headed into Seattle. Our first stop after arriving at Westlake, was to find Top Pot Doughnuts and Get our free Doughnuts and Coffee. 6 blocks later we found the super cute doughnut/coffee shop and the most wonderful old fashioned Glazed doughnut.

We Grabbed our food and started a gabfest at one of the front tables. When we were done Grubbing, we Got our bodies Going again and headed to Macys for some Gift buying. We did Good and then headed up the street to Greet the falling snow at Pacific Place.

We Got there just in time, no thanks to the Seattle PD! Next we Gallivanted over to Old Navy and then to find some more Grub

at the food court in Westlake. After a few stores more, our Gifts were bought

and we headed home, but only after celebrating GerriAnne and her birthday by proxy through a text message.

E Day

We continued our Alphabet Adventure this past weekend and celebrated E in Ellensburg..so then Everything we did counted! (Right?!?!)
We Exited Kent Early in the morning and headed over to Ellensburg for Homecoming weekend at Central Washington University. We took the first Exit and Entered town. We dropped the cars off at Cassie's dad house and strolled over to 7-11 for some beverages. Next we hit the Edge of campus and Entered the SUB and bookstore. There were many Educational books to buy, but we stuck with Exactly what we wanted, sweatshirts. After our purchases were made, we headed up to the stadium telling stories about our favorite Events that happened in the buildings we passed. Upon arrival at the stadium we did some Eating and then Entered the game. We Excitedly yelled as our team scored and Booed as the other team did the same thing. And at the End we were no longer Excited, we were Exasperated.
So we decided we needed to Eat more and headed to the Taco truck where I had an Enchilada, Nalley had tacos, and Riles had a Super Burrito and then for dessert we had frozen yogurt at Utopia. It was Excellent. Next we thought we should Exercise, so we headed to Fred Meyer to walk around and then we went Bowling. I started off well and thought I was going to have the GOML (game of my life), but really it turned out to be the 4 frames of my life.
After loosing the first game by a few points and not even make 100 in the second game, I was done and it was time to go home and get ready for some Entertaining times.
We were Elated that we could meet up with Vicki and her friend Becky. We did a bit of bar hopping and Even met up with a co-worker. We Ended the night with hot dogs and beds Early the next morning.

-Sorry no pictures, as I grabbed the camera that had no battery life left!

Celebrating and Seething

We finally are back on track to celebrating the alphabet. Tomorrow we will celebrate F and next weekend we celebrate E. Pictures and stories to follow soon.

Today in school was great with the kids. They are so much fun to be around. They always have too much to say, yet we are able to get a lot accomplished, which means I will have a lot to correct this weekend. I try my hardest to get my kids to correct things, so they get the instant gratification about how well they did, but sometimes things just pile up, but not to high of course.
The adults at school weren't as much fun today! When people can't do their jobs and I end up doing twice as much work, so that things will come together, I become not a very happy camper. I ended up biting a few heads off, calmly talking to others while seething inside, and sending a few pointed emails. Then I came home and decompressed aka get on my computer with some adult beverages. And that is where I sit now...hopefully the rest of the weekend and tonight will be better and I don't have to cook dinner!

After being sooo active in our alphabet adventures ( "A", "B", "C") , we took the year off! Well almost, we got "D" day in on the last possible Day, December 31st, 2010.

We wore Demin

And made our first stop at Dicks. We ate Delicious burgers, fries, and shakes. We then Drove to get Doughnuts at Krispe Kreme! They were Divine.

When we were Done, we Dashed to a Dive bar for Drinks and Darts. Just a little note I won at Darts!

See player 1 has 0- that was me!!!

The next Deal was to Drop off one car at Cassie's and then Dink around in FW. We even stopped at Dairy Queen for blizzards. Next we headed home for Dishes of Deliciousness, Decorating fridges, and more Drinks.

When our bellies were full, we Determined it was time to break some Decibels and play Wii Glee Karaoke.

And even though we missed midnight ( we were singing!) We celebrated with sparking cider!

And called a few friends to wish them a happy new year!

After 2 years of going out for New Years! this was exactly what the doctor ordered! A night at home with friends and fun!

A Day

We are working our way through the alphabet doing things that only start with the letter of choice. Over the Thanksgiving break we celebrated "A" Day and did everything "A". We began the day with Appetizers at Azteca, and then looked for Apparel at Old Navy. We filled the Automobile with gas and headed into Seattle. Although we didn't Anticipate All the traffic and we became slightly Aggravated, we were still Able to Ascend the stairs of the Argosy and float into Apple Cup.
We watched our respective teams Attempt to Acquire a "W", but only one team Ascertained the Apple Cup...and sadly it was the wrong team. After the game, we went to fill our bodies with Artichokes and Anti-pasta at Madame K's in Ballard. Then we did some Ass-shaking and Alcohol consuming Activities.
All in All it was an Awesome "A" Day. Sorry there aren't many pictures. I decided to let an Armature take them and she was Absent-minded most of the day and forgot to take them.
