that will help me reach my top cupboards and not have to use a chair. My mom got a tool box and hammer for Kekoa. The next sale offered a corn hole game for my sis and bil that was all decked out in Coug crimson and grey. We hit a few more with just a few books purchased. We needed to re-fuel so a stop at Subway was in order, then back to the streets where we, I mean, I hit the mother load. I'd been looking for one for years and finally it offered it self... a bike!! All ready to go! And only $55! I was wearing a dress, so I had Riles ride it for me, before I jumped on it. He enjoyed his ride, so then I got on and rode. It was like heaven on wheels. So easy to pedal, the seat was cushiny, and it had shocks, so my the ruts in the road weren't jarring to my body. I was ready to ride it home. The only thing was that it was a bit far. I paid the lady and then we had to figure out how to fit it in my car along with all our other things and 4 people. Thankfully we were able to do it with no problem. Now I'm ready to go riding!

It Was A Garage Saling Type of Day
We all jumped in the car and were excited about the possibilities of what the day had to hold. We were going garage saling! The first stop, was our old neighbors house. It was full of stuff and there I found this awesome ladder,

Worked It Out
Got a new toy last week and now I'm a bit addicted...addicted to my steps! It's all due to my Fitbit Charge. I love it!
Everyday my goal is to walk 10,000 steps. As long as I work out then I can make my steps easily. If I don't, then it is a little harder. It also tracks my sleep: how much I get, if it was restless and if I was awake at any time.
I'm still learning how to use it, but I love it.

More Light
I decided I needed more light in my dinning room, because it was always so dark in there. I heard that mirrors can reflect some good light, so I looked up some options on Pinterest. They had some options of using multiple door mirrors together to make big mirrors or to make a statement. I thought that would be perfect for me. So I went out to Walmart to get some. I brought them back and tried to hold them up and check them out and see what they looked like.
Being single and not knowing any of my neighbors it was kind of hard to do it by myself. I tried to stick them up with some tape, but they didn't hold long enough for me to really get a good sense of if I liked it or not. So I decided to take them back, sadly I couldn't find the receipt, so I ended up keeping them. A few weeks later, my parents were in town and they convinced me to just put them up. It was hard to see where they should go and we did a bunch of testing them before I put them up.
I went to Ace and got some nails to put them up, did a bunch of hole making and then they were up. No fuss, no muss....although I'm not sold on them. The top on kind of arches everything that is reflected in it....so I think I will keep looking.

Bought It...Took It Back
I went to Spokane Discount and saw some great new blue chairs that I was super excited to have on my lanai. They were the zero gravity type. I left the store without the chairs, cause I couldn't come to bring myself to spend $44 each at a discount store. All the stuff at Spokane Discount is the stuff that is returned from Costco and then is resold.
Well, I continued to think about them through the night and then decided to go back and get them. On my way to the store in the valley, I stopped at the store on the north side and found a chair that was red, but a little faded. I bought it thinking that maybe it would match one at the other store just in case the blue ones weren't there.
Thankfully I did buy that one, because when I got out to the Valley the blue ones were gone and the only ones they had left were a super faded green one and a beautiful green one. The faded green one worked amazingly, but was too faded for me. The beautiful green would have given me Christmas chairs, but the chair didn't work. It would only lean back, lean back.
So I went home with only the red chair. I tried it out for a few days. I painted in it and napped in it, but I just didn't fall in love with it. I could never fully sit up in it and when I bent my legs the chair leaned back.
So back it went today...and now I have a gift card to buy other things there...hmmm what to buy!

Spring Time
The weather has been amazing, so although it's not officially Spring, I decided it was time to bring out the Spring comforter and spring and summer clothes.

My Birthday Presents
So I asked for shelves and I was super excited to get them, but once I got them I was worried they were too big and I had no clue as to what they would look like, so I got some help on what they would look like.
First I looked at the front view...
Then the side view...
Decided they were too wide and I needed skinner shelves, but still the same length, so back they will go and hopefully I can find other ones that will work better.

New Boots
Bought a new pair of boots last weekend when I was with SB.
As I was paying for them, I started having buyers remorse (They are too expensive. They were too big. What was I going to wear with them. Do I really like them?) and thought I would just return them later in the week.
Well, I ended up wearing them that same day to a Communities in Schools Auction. Then I wore them with a dress on Monday. And on Thursday, I wore them with my black pants. And on Friday, I wore them with jeans. And on Saturday, I wore them to the pumpkin patch.
Needless to say. They are broken in now and I'm not taking them back. I'm so glad that I bought them and plan to wear them a lot more.

New Purchase
When I moved in, I was given a new TV. Sadly the TV didn't really fit in the "entertainment center"
So over the weekend, after my bil did a little research, I took a friend with me and we went to investigate TVs and hopefully purchase one. We first stopped at Video Only and found out the TV I had thought I was going to get wasn't the best I could get for my money, but they had a better quality TV for the same price as the other one, so I purchased a 42" LG with HD. Thankfully it works wonderfully and fits perfectly in the spot.
Now the big decision is do I add the HD to my xfinity package and do I get cable. I have the smallest package you can get, which is just local channels and only cost $13. I could upgrade with HD and get 144 channels for $29 with a 2 year contract. I'm himmming and hahhhhhhhing over it. Thoughts?
-sorry the colors are so off! I took them both with my camera phone.

How Much?
So I saw these shoes
A basic sandal with some camo on along the edge nothing special right?!?!?!?
Well until I saw the price…
And that for sure WAS NOT Special!!!! No way I would spend $249.97 or the sale price of $108.75, even if it was more than half off!

It's Fall Y'all
And all my decorations are up!
I love it...and there is a little new coming in. I've been wanting a new comforter for the fall and winter, but couldn't really find anything I liked documented on a previous post. I did find something and finally I put it on. I love it.

My Bed is Getting New Clothes
Lately, I've been looking for a new bedspread for my bed for winter. I love the one I have for my summer, yet I'm kinda done with the my winter one. Each winter, my bed sports this quilt I made
and I'm ready for something new.
So I went into looking for one when I was Montana as I wouldn't have to pay sale tax. Sadly, I didn't find one, so I kept looking for one when I was back in this state. It needed to fit with my somewhat beachy theme in my bedroom (I'm gonna change out the pictures above my bed, into more Montan picture theme, rather than what is in there now.) and with my door headboard, although I'm going to make a pallet headboard this coming fall. (Anyone have a shop, I can make it in?)
Here were some of the options I found.
I really like this one and thought it looked kind of Hawaiian, but I was worried about having to re-do my whole bedroom to make it work.
This one I actually bought, but wasn't really in love.
Then I found this one and was going to purchase it, but it looked like it was a paint by numbers, so I didn't get it.
This one I liked a lot, but it looked like it would fit my friend a lot better.
Sadly, I came home from my vacation without bedding. Then when I went to a store that will remain anonymous, I found it. The one I found in love with! It will fit perfectly into my bedroom and remind me of my favorite season during my least favorite season. It's yellow and grey
Can't wait for winter!
-ps- all pictures taken with my phone, so don't hate on them!

For the Love of my Feet
My feet have been super tender lately, in my arches, on the top, at my toes, and I could figure out what was really wrong, until one night when I took off my tennis shoes and investigated them. Come to find out I had almost worn through each of my insoles, there were many worn or completely missing tread pads on the bottom of my shoe, and the back of my shoe now looked like an squished marshmallow rather than a new one. All of these indicators pointed to me buying new shoes!
But I had just bought new ones about a year ago, why did I need new ones already? The shoes that I had the year before (exactly the same brand an style) and had trained for my triathlon in had never looked like this and I had them for over a year....oh well, I guess.
So I made my way one night to Road Runner Sports in the Kent Station and got outfitted again. New custom made insoles ($80) and shoes (same brand and style-$98).
The insoles fit great, but I wasn't so sure about the shoe as we, the store clerk and I, decided to go with a 9W, which my foot is wide, instead of a regular 9, which I had been wearing the past year, and I wasn't so sure about the color. But I'm a VIP at the store, which means I have 90 days to bring back anything I buy there, no questions asked, so I wasn't too worried. I also had a race coming up, so I thought I would try them out and if I didn't like them, then I would take them back and get new ones.
Well, it's been a week and the insoles are now driving me nuts. After fitting well during the fitting, they have been hurting my arches when I'm just standing in them, as well as when I'm running in them and I could never get my shoes to be tight enough as not to rub on the bottom of my feet, so back I went to return them. I got new remolded insoles, which I will try out later today and then ordered the shoes I wanted in a non-wide size and better colors,
but that meant I walked out of the store with only socks as my shoes had to be ordered online.

Welcome to the Family!
Today Riles welcomed a new family member, Jett Black. He's a 2003 Ford Escape Limited fully loaded. Leather seats, moon roof, tinted windows, pirelli tires with rims, luggage rack, rain guards, and a retractable storage cover. Priced at $7,991, not including taxes and licensing. After some price dickering and being asked to pay $500 for the licensing and then $250 for the licensing, he ended up walking out the door with it for $6,000 including everything. Pretty good deal huh?!!?

Now Blue Bomber has a friend.

Boots!
I happened to out and about last night and saw a DSW, so I thought I would stop and see if I could find anything to use my gift card on...and just my luck, I found a few things I liked. There was this pair that I fell in love with. Just couldn't figure out what I would wear them with and it was kind of hard to stomach the $70 price tag that came along with it.
So then I found this pair and fell in love,

plus they were only $29 with 30% off, exactly in my price range. The only problem was they didn't have my size. So they called down to the Southcenter store and after a good 10 min. wait, I had secured a pair in my size and color.
Today I went and got the second pair, but thought I would also pick up the first pair, just so my friends (at craft night) could check them out and tell me if they were worth $70, but to my sadness they didn't have my size in Southcenter, so I decided just not to get them...for now anyway.

It's Been a Week...
since my recent biggest purchase and I still haven't blogged about it...
It just seems like soo much to write...
It was a full day event...
One that I did ALL. BY. MYSELF...
And I didn't pass out...
And I didn't die (although I thought I might)....
I need to write it all down....
Make sure I don't forget how I felt...
All the emotions....
The day I....BOUGHT A NEW CAR!

My Biggest Purchase
I've been pondering this purchase for a long while and really about a month ago, had decided I would just stick with what I had, but then I found sometime that I thought I could afford...so I did it. I bought a new car! Not the car I thought I was going to get, but a totally different one that I thought I would never buy....(go to the bathroom, get a drink, this may be a long read!)
The last time I took my car into the shop, I was talking to the mechanic about if it was time for me to get a new car or if I should keep putting money into the car I already had. He suggested I start looking and if I had money, in October, when my car didn't pass emissions (cause it wasn't going to) then I could buy a new one. So I drove it for the rest of the summer and on all my road trips, I was checking out cars and wondering what I should get. Each time I decided on a car, I would check out the price and then have to go back to the drawing board, as the car was always too much!
As I was driving away from a girlfriends house about a month ago, I saw a Saturn Vue outside of someone's house for sale and fell in love. It was an 04, but that is all I knew, cause it was raining and I wasn't getting out to check out the price. The following day I went back up there to check it out again and it was gone. Sold I presumed, so I hit craigslist.org and I found a few I might be interested in, but nothing I just had to have.
Then last week came along and my car decided to turn on a new light telling me that my E brake was on all the time, when I knew it wasn't. That is when the car search intensified an I happen to find an 05 Saturn Vue down in Puyllaup for around 10,000. I thought that was a lot, but I figured I could get them down to $8,000. So off I went to find me a new car. When I got down to Puyllaup, I couldn't find any addresses on the buildings, so I guessed that Korum, was the place I was looking for, parked the car, and walked in and that is where I met Don.
He said yes, they had the Vue and we were off to lot 4 to find it.

While we walked over there, we talked about the Vue and realized that the one we were going to look at really wasn't the one I wanted to look at, but I decided to look at it anyway. After we found it, we took it for a drive. It was pretty amazing, except for being dirty. We went back to the dealer and I was ready to sign the papers, but the dealer said they wouldn't sell it to me, because it had too many things wrong with it.
NUTS!!!
So then of course they bring in the suave, overly chatty "top salesman" to sell me on an 04 Mercury Mountaineer that was only $12,000. We took it for a short test drive and then came back. I was up front with him in telling him that I only had a certain amount of money and I was expecting at least $1, 500 for my trade-in and if he couldn't give me that, then I was going to walk. He told me I was going to make him work and that is when I started to hyperventilate and wanted to go home. It was a huge car and I totally didn't see myself in it...yet I waited to see the numbers and when they came out. I was paying $10, 800 out the door and getting $2,500 for my car, which was probably worth $1,500...Therefore I ended up with a new car!
I'm the new proud owner of an 04 Mercury Mountaineer. It's a V6 with tinted windows, sunroof, leather seats, 6 disc changer, heated seats, and room for 7.
It's a nice ride.

New Toy!
My kitchen was very blessed this Christmas with a new rice pot, a stock pot (8 qt.) and a

I'm so excited! I've been wanting one forever and thought I would get one when I got married. Well we know how well that is going...So I decided I would look into getting it for myself. It was pretty expensive so I put it off, but then when I was unpacking Christmas stuff this year I found a $100 laying around and then I got some money for Christmas, so adding it all up I had just enough! Whoo hoo!
All I'm going to do today is bake!!! To bad I can't eat any of it with this new diet I'm on. Nuts!
