Not only do you get to run, but you get a sweatshirt and hot chocolate. I was in. My mom was in too. Sadly, she had to go out of town, so I had to find someone to take her place, which wasn't easy seeing that the race started at 6:45AM!!!
Thankfully, I found someone else to take her place and we all met up at my house this morning at 5:30 and then headed down to get our race on! We all were in different "corrals", yet we chose to stand together until the horn blew.
The course started off easy and was down down hill, then up a little, then down some more, then up up up the hill then straight for a bit and then down down down hill again and then up up up the hill again. Then into the tunnel and out of the tunnel and up a bit more, down a bit and then up up up a hill to the end. We crossed the finish line running, but the official photographers got us right after we we stopped running and it looks like I was dying.
