HWY 101 Day 2

So after our little stop at Costco and Autozone, I continued to drive down the 101 to Seaside, Or, our stop for the night, and a hotel. The whole way down I was a law abiding citizen, but while driving through Willapa (booooooo!!!!!!) I was going a little fast, 13 miles fast and the ol' police officer had to pull me over and give me a ticket!

Crap!!!! I sooo loved how this trip was shaping up!
I did end up driving the rest of the day, but I was done after that.
We checked in at the Motel 6, which wasn't too bad, and then headed downtown to walk around and take in the beach. It was an amazing day,


night, and sunset at the beach.






The kids even went into the water and swam for a good hour or so.






Of course as the night winded down, there was no way anyone wanted to cook, so after passing all these Mom and Pops and Greasy Spoons (even with one calling itself that) we ended up at Herbs. Bad Choice!! Fish and chips, which was the special, was bland and my chicken sandwich ended up coming up again. Only the burger was good. We will have to do better at picking places next time.
We went to bed early (midnight) and then headed down to Florence the next day.
