Mother's Day
This year for Mother's Day, my mom decided it would be fun to take a walk, watch a movie, and maybe do some food. I decided to host it all, but really wasn't in the mood to cook, so I finally cashed in my Christmas Gift from my dad that was a year and a half old. He gave both my sister and I a gift of time/service as he said he would prepare a meal for 4 people, whenever and wherever we wanted. It could be lunch, dinner, breakfast, late night snack...anything. So I decided to have brunch. I picked two items and my mom picked two items as it was mothers day.
He rolled up with my mom in tow ready to get started...
He even set up the table, food table, and drink stand.
We feasted on monkey balls, bbq meatloaf sliders, mustard potatoes, fruit with a fruit dip, and for dessert there was a mango puree. It was all super delish, (although, I don't think I'll have the potatoes again). We ate and ate and ate and ate some more. I'm so happy to have such a talented father.
After we were done eating, the weather didn't look too promising, so we decided to take in a movie instead, The King's Speech. It wasn't too bad...a little long for me.
Then we came home and played some Bananagrams. I didn't do too well, but that's okay it was Mother's Day, although I don't remember if she won either.
