First Time For Everything

Last Friday, as I headed over to Spokane, I was trying to figure out what I was going to eat the whole way over there. I really wanted tator tots. I really wanted a fresh meat sandwich from Arbys. I had wanted pasta all week, which is strange, cause I really don't like pasta. I couldn't have meat, cause it was Friday and Lent. I thought I might be able to eat with my sister, but she had to work. I also was trying to figure out where I was going to eat: was I going to stop in Ellensburg or Moses Lake or Ritzville? Decision, decisions!
I finally decided I would stop at Sonic and get my tator tots and a grilled cheese sandwich, but as I pulled up to Sonic, I decided I didn't really want that. I kept driving...then decided I would get take out at Tomato Street, a sit down restaurant. I drove up and there were tons of cars and as I walked in I realized there was a huge wait. I continued to walk up to the take out window and it was full of people as well. So I thought, ooh I'll go to the bar and get my food there and take it home.
So I walked in there and there was a spot on the bar, so I bellied up and ordered a diet soda (gave up drinking for Lent). I got a menu and decided to order a garlic shrimp pasta with Gouda and artichokes. It came with a Caesar salad and some yummy bread. As I sat and watched the championship games from the different college basketball conferences, the bartenders would stop and chat and include me into their conversations. My food came lickety split and I started eating...it wasn't too bad eating by myself. (I'd never done it before!) I ate more and more and more and talked with the bartenders and had a pretty good time. It was only a little awkward when the whole bar cleared out and I was the only one sitting at it.

When I was full, I boxed up the leftovers and went on my merry way. Although it wasn't that bad, I don't know if I will do it again.
