Early Morning Call

Early this morning I got a phone call...a drunken phone call I thought, but then I looked at the time and it was too late for that. I let it go to voicemail, but listened to it right after it came through. It wasn't news I wanted to hear. Just a few hours earlier my Aunty Sweety had passed away. She had been vailently batteling throat and brain cancer and today cancer took her last breath.
I am happy that she no longer has to labor to breathe, be poked or prodded, or be shot with radiation. She is in a better place. Setting up her first Secret Society Meeting and for sure she and her Secret Society Sisters have already made it to the casino.
I pray for her family and friends that are left here. Her two granddaughters, her daughter, her son-in-law, her husband, her mom, and her hula family.
We have all been truely blessed by her presence here on earth and each day with her was present enough for me.

why do those calls always come late @ night/early morning? i dread any calls late @ night.
sweetie always had a smile & would radiate that feeling to us all. we are so fortunate to have been blessed with such a beautiful lady.
i always felt a spirit/a belonging with sweetie.
