Past Weeks

The past few weeks have been a pretty big blur...There has been so many things going on and not a lot of time to just sit and do nothing. I can't wait for Thanksgiving break to do just that!
On Veterans Day one of my co-workers invited us all over to her house to show us how to make lumpia. I was super excited to document the whole process, but after I arrived I realized I hadn't charged my batteries from California, so I only got a few shots in. We all had a great time and even got to take home the lumpias that we rolled. I've been slowly frying them and having them for dinner and they are so ono.

I've been working on report cards for school for the past few weeks as well. They are so time consuming, but yet could be so easy if only we had clear and concise instructions on what type of comments we should include. I also found out that in the new year I would be getting a practicum student. I'm pretty excited considering I've been trying to get a student teacher for a long time. I think it will be interesting to help guide someone else in their teaching career, as well as to do some reflecting on my own teaching.
I've increased my working out at the gym by adding two night classes (water aerobics) It is fun, even though my muscles are sore the next day. I haven't seen the difference in my clothes yet. Could possibly have something to do with my eating and drinking habits....but we don't really need to talk about that.
With the constant rain and storms we've been having my menus for dinner have changed from bbqed items to soups and Crockpot cooking. I even made some homemade biscuits to go with my soup the other night. They were super delicious.
After coming back from California I realized I will not be travelling again for a long time. Sad:( Thanksgiving is here this year and Christmas will be here as my sister, bil, niece, and the new little one (still in my sis's tummy) will be travelling over to see us. But with the new year, I'm sure there will be new trips...I know Vegas is in the works.
Oh and Thanks to Craigslist and Allen, Cassie and I will be attending Apple Cup this year and taking a boat to get there for only $40 each! What a great deal...plus we will be celebrating A day!
