Fall is Here!

The excitement of Fall could never replace the long lazy days of Summer spent in flip-flops, shorts, and sunglasses lounging out on the deck chairs or jumping into the pool to cool off. Fall's presence is slowly settling in here as the fall/winter clothes replace the summer ones,

the house decorations start to change,

the bedspread changes,

and the anticipation of a time honored tradition that makes your mouth water just thinking about it comes to mind....popcorn balls!!!

My mom would whip them up right around this time every year and especially for Halloween, so they became a tradition of our family. One year we even made popcorn christmas trees with M&Ms to give to the neighbors. The popcorn balls became so traditional that even when we went off to college, she would send us boxes of popcorn balls to share with our roommates and friends.

I can't wait for my first bite of ewhhhhhhy-gooooooey carmelllllllly popcorn balls.
