That's what we've been studying in Science with my kiddos. They are loving it and I'm, well, getting along with it just fine. We started with mealworms,
which I've had before, but this year we introduced two new types of worms into the mix waxworms and silkworms.
Which I promptly got confused and believed that I just had lots of silkworms, so I put them all in one container and was feeding them the same food. The waxworms promptly died off. I have one left, who actually made it to the cocoon stage.
The silkworms came in eggs and have slowly been hatching, eating, and growing.
The kiddos are loving watching them do all the fun things so far, but I think that they will be even more impressed after they come out of their cocoons and are beetles, moths, and ?-I don't know what the waxworms turn into.
