"They say 'Gobble, gobble' Ms. Chock...

and the red thing under their chin is called a waddle not a gobble." Oh the joys of teaching. We learned about turkeys this week. We read some, made some and even ate some.
We talked about Thanksgiving (being it a non-religious holiday and all we get to actually talk about it and celebrate it) and what we were thankful for. Although most kids were thankful for their family and friends, I also had some typical kid answers:
  • toys
  • Santa
  • dogs
  • cats
  • TLC (the local skating rink)
  • and my all time favorite Chuck E. Cheese

I am thankful for all of them and the joy they bring to my life, my family and friends that keep surprising me with all the love that they continually give me, and all the new little lives that I will be apart of as my sister and cousins begin adding to their families.
I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving and enjoy your tom turkeys.

A quote from Story People to help you along with your day:

Rules for a successful holiday: 1. Get together with the family 2. Relive old times 3. Get out before it blows
