Mount Rushmore

Never did I think I would go here, but I'm so glad that we did. We got there and were amazed.

After looking at it from far away, we hiked around and got super close.

Then we came back the following night for the lighting of the monument.  There is an amazing stadium at the bottom of the monument where we watched a video of the making of Mount Rushmore, they light it up, and then have all serving and retired veterans come down and retire the colors.  It's very moving.
