Pintrest Almost Fail!!!

Holy crap! I was stressed and needed some relief, so I thought a small little arts and crafts project would work. So I found this one on

the internet (pintrest to be exact) and thought, I can do this while getting ready to move. No big deal!  Well not so much.
I got all the stuff together at Home Depot and then went to get my wood cut.  Funny thing is that they only cut straight and I needed angled cuts, so I had to find a master cutter to do it.  Luckily I have a friend who does that.

He made the cuts lickty split, but then had to do some shaving because it didn't quite fit plum.  I took the boards home and glued and nailed them together.

The next step was to stain the wood and then get the mirror prepped.

Then I took the mirror out of the old frame

 and pealed the backing off

and found out the stupid mirror was smaller than the frame! Not all door mirrors are the same size! Damn them!  So I went and bought a $5 mirror to use and keep my old mirror, but as I was taking off the backing I cracked it.

So I was back to my old mirror! Good thing my girlfriend does glasswork and she was able to cut my old mirror.  I came home that night (4 days later) and glued the mirror onto the frame and called it good.

Then today I reviled the mirror to my cousin and myself and it was gorgeous! I love it and although I will never make one again, I'm so happy that I have friends that will help a girl out when she needs it.
