Loaded all my boxes and my furniture into a big U-haul truck, Blue, and my mom's car this morning with the lovely help of my cousin, Riles, my uncle and aunt and my parents. And then moved it over to the other side of the state. I'm super sad that I didn't think to document any of it with either camera, so sadly there are no pictures.
I was pretty much okay until I walked away and got in my car. Then a few tears trickled down my faces. (I'm going back to do the final cleaning so maybe that is why it wasn't too awful, we will see after Labor Day Weekend.)
I made one stop for some road trip snacks and then was back on the road.
When I made it to the apartments, I had a bunch of paperwork to sign and then was able to give the key to my sister and she went and started the process of moving my stuff in with my parents, Bil, and the kiddos.
It didn't seem to take long, to unload everything, but by the time we were carrying in the last boxes I was done and so was everyone else.
Time Line
7am -the time people started showing up to help move
boxes started moving and big stuff
8am -the time I told everyone to show up to help move
9am -cousin shows up to help! Bwhahahahahaha
10am -Truck loaded and headed to Spokane
1030am -I'm on the road after a gas and coffee stop
Sometime later:
I pass the U-Haul at Easton
I stop in Moses Lake and get back on the freeway and the U-haul is at the rest stop on the other side of town
3pm -I make it to my apartments and start signing papers
3ish -My sis and Bil show up
3:30ish - the truck shows up and the unloading begins
6pm -The truck is on it's way back to U-haul and we are on our way to dinner at my sis and Bil's house.
It was a long day, but I am so glad we got it all done in one day! Thanks for all the help!
