Saw this and was super excited to do a little changing.
Thought I could get the cardboard from Costco, but the size didn't work. Then I remembered that I had some cardboard at work that would be perfect. (Remember that tri-fold things we used in 8th grade for our family projects or the ones for our science project...yep, I had a bunch of them.) I used that cardboard from school, bought the lovely fabric 2 1/2 yards that was 25% off and then 15% off the entire purchase making the fabric $8ish, saving $4, and then used double stick tape to make it all work.
Here is the beginning
Measured the cardboard and then cut it.
I ironed the fabric then laid the cardboard out on the fabric to make sure I had enough.
I cut the fabric and taped the edges to the cardboard. I actually thought I would use the white side of the fabric to face out, but the fabric looked better against the brown. I put the cardboard into the bookcase.
Final product. I like it, but I don't know if I'm in love with it. Will have to get used to it...or just take it out.
