Wednesday Hodgepodge Vol. 128

1. Have you learned more from success or failure? Explain.

Oh, I for sure think I've learned more from my failures.  All those times I didn't do it right, taught me how to keep trying and I will be able to get it right in the long run.

2.  What did you call your grandparents when you were growing up? If you have children, what do they call your parents? If you have grandchildren, what do they call you?

I only had one set of grandparents, so it was Grandma and Grandpa.  I don't have any children, but my niece and nephew call my parents Tutu and Popo which are supposedly the Hawaiian terms from grandma and grandpa (although I know that Tutu Kane is really grandpa).  I don't have grandchildren yet, but I like Grams.

3.  You're invited to a luau.  In keeping with that theme, what dish will you bring to share?

Ahh, I've attended many a luau and oh the food is so ono.  I would probably bring kalua pig or some chicken long rice.  Two of my favorite parts of a luau.

4. Besides Jesus, what one person's life story do you think everyone should know about?

That is a good question...let me think on that.

5. "Don't sweat the small stuff." Agree or Disagree? Why?

Totally agree!  Small stuff is just that, small, and if you sweat it, then what are you going to do when big stuff comes along.  Small stuff typically works itself out without any sweat.

6.  June is National Rivers Month. When were you last on a river? What's the prettiest river you've ever seen? What's a river you'd like to see?

Oooh I love rivers.  The last time I was on a river was a bit traumatic. Read here.  Yet I know that that won't stop me from going on them again.  The prettiest river I've seen probably one that runs through Glacier National park through the mountains.  I don't have a river that I would want to see.

7.  Speaking of rivers-paddling, fishing, swimming, or bird watching safely from the shore? Which activity would you choose? Yes-you have to choose.

Paddling, yes! Although I tend to fall in, no matter how careful I am.
Fishing, yes! I love to go fishing be it on a boar or from the shore.  I love it all.
Swimming, yes! During the summer I live in my swimsuit, although rivers tend to be a bit cold it's still a great way to cool off.
Bird watching, no thanks! I don't like birds and wouldn't want to waste my time.

8.  Insert your own random thought here.

Only 10 more days of school! I so can't wait to get summer started. The summer weather has already started, so now it's time for us to be off.
Plus I'm reading an amazing book right now, COPPER SUN by Sharon M Draper.  Super good, so much so it's hard to put it down.
