Wednesday Hodgepodge Vol. 124.

1. When the children of today grow up, what do you think they'll say about this period in time? What do you most hope they remember?

I think they will say that it was a very connected time with electronics going wild.  I want them more to rem

2. National Teacher's Day is celebrated in the US of A on the first Tuesday in May, this year May 7th...share how a particular teacher positively impacted you.
I have had many teachers impact me in my life, so much so I became a teacher myself. I have found that the teachers I most remember are the ones that challenged me to dig deeper and go further rather than be complacent and agree to just go along with status quo.  Mr. Smith picked me to be apart of the talent show cure to build sets and help with running it even though I was a year younger than everyone else and not apart of the clique that was running it.  Mr. Missel took me and another student with him to help run a science activity at another school.  Mr. Brown questioned me in the classes I was taking.  He told me to strive to be the best, not just take the easy classes. I went home and changed the classes I took.

3. What's a dish your mama made, that if set in front of you today would whisk you right back to childhood?

Weird I know, but it would be saimin and grilled cheese.  It’s my comfort food and I love it.  It reminds me of childhood each time I eat it.  Another one would be 7-Up Cake.  It is made with 7-Up and pistachio pudding and a cake mix.  It is super yummy and turns out green.  My mom made if for me for my birthday at Chuckie Cheese.  It was frosted red and then when you cut into it , it was green. It was amazing

4. Mother May I was a game we played when I was growing up...no pieces, parts, or plugs required. What games from childhood do you remember loving that were also pieces, parts, and plug-free?

Simon says and Red Rover were great games from my childhood that I loved.  We also took many road trips and on those road trips we played the ABC game, where you had to find words on billboards, signs, cars that started with the letters and then you had to call them out.  You could use license plate letters as well.  One time my dad slowed the car down, so I couldn’t get a letter I knew was on an upcoming sign because he wanted to get his letters first.

5. Besides your own mother, tell us about a woman who influenced you as a child?

My aunt.  She is my mother’s sister and lived with us for a while when I was younger. Then she married and has always lived  close by with her family.  She is great 2nd mother, friend, and aunt to me.

6. Mamma Mia! What's the best play or musical you've ever seen?

I’m not really a play or musical type of gal. I would much rather be at a sporting event  or out in the wilderness doing something rather than sitting and watching a play of musical.  Therefore I really haven’t seen many, but my favorite would have to be Late Night Catechism.

7. What are three smells that make you feel nostalgic?

Fresh cut grass, campfire, and vanilla

8.  Insert your own random thought here.

I have some big plans going on in my brain, but I need to flush them all out before I share them, so instead I will show you  a picture of what the inside of my brain looks like right now.
