Wednesday Hodgepodge Vol. 113
1. This week marks the beginning of Lent...will you be giving something up or adding anything to your life during this season of the year?
I have decided to set a bed time for my computer during school nights and that will be 8:30. I tend to watch too many shows at night when I should be getting rest and then my night of sleep is restless because I wake up to my computer still being on, so that is one of the things I will be doing. I haven't decided about coffee, alcohol, or sweets, yet but I will have to decide soon.
2. The day before Lent is Shrove Tuesday... tradition states you eat pancakes on this day. In some parts of the world Shrove Tuesday is actually known as 'pancake day'. How do you like your pancakes? Or don't you?
Love my pancakes with butter and syrup and 2 eggs over medium, so that when you poke the eggs the yoke runs out.
3. I'm sure there are many, but what's one love song you really love?
4. What are some things you do to let others know you love them?
Of course there are so many things...I will go out of my way to surprise them with treats, doing things for them, spending time with them when I told them previously I had no time to spend with them.
5. Roses...red, pink, or do you prefer another color? Can you recall the last time someone gave you flowers? Given your choice would you like to open the door and see a dozen red roses, a dozen purple tulips, or a dozen pink peonies?
NO roses for me thank you, I'm a wildflower girl: Gerber daisies, stargazer lillies, tulips, peonies, daffodils... The last time I got flowers was for my birthday 14 days ago. It was a beautiful bouquet of wildflowers with 2 yellow roses in there.
6. President's Day will be celebrated in America next Monday. Does US Presidential history and trivia interest you? Many Presidential homes are open to the public and offer guided tours...Monticello (Jefferson's home), Mount Vernon (Washington's home), Montpelier (James Madison's home), Hyde Park (FD Roosevelt's home) and The White House (home to the sitting President) to name just a few. Of those listed which would you be most interested in touring? Why?
History is interesting and I would love to learn more crazy facts about the President. I would love to see the White House and all that goes on there.
7. Are you good at keeping secrets?
Overall I would say, yes, but then really it depends on the secret. Sometimes I will tell the secret to people who don't know the person telling me the secret, just cause I need to tell someone, but I do really try to be a good secret keeper.
8. Insert your own random thought here.
Like right now I'm keeping a secret and it's been really hard to keep, but soon I will be able to share it with everyone.
