Wednesday Hodgepodge

1. Aloha! On August 21, 1959 Hawaii officially became a US state. Have you ever been? Upon arrival would you prefer an orchid or a hibiscus to tuck behind your ear?

I have been to Hawaii and even lived there, when I was a kid, as I'm Hawaiian. I continue to go back and visit family and friends and while there I love having a flower behind my ear, although it typically falls out, so the bigger the better, therefore I would choose a hibiscus behind my right ear, meaning I'm looking for a man. If I wore the flower behind my left ear then I would be telling the world I'm taken.

2. Since we're talking tropical...what's your favorite food or beverage made with pineapple?

Mmmm, pineapple upside down cake or pineapple ice cream. One thing I do hate though is any food called Hawaiian because it has pineapple and ham on it. It kills me!

3. Do you believe in soul mates? Explain.

I do believe in soul mates. I think that everyone has one.

4. Share a memory about the house you grew up in.

I grew up in many houses throughout the PNW, but one memory I have about my Oregon house was my birthday party when I was in 7th grade. I had my first boy/girl party. It was fun and then the boys went home and the girls spent the night. Some of the girls snuck out and went out and teepeed a few houses. I went to leave and then found out that the toilet was over flowing and I had to stay home and try and fix it instead.

5. Are you comfortable with silence?

Totally comfortable.

6. You spot a giant spider on your bedroom wall...what's your next move? (all spiders are giant, right?)

Ewwwh, and run out of the room. Then come back and just let it be. If it doesn't bother me, then it can stay.

7. My idea of fun does NOT include sitting in work meetings hearing about things that don't pertain to me. I totally tune them out, hence when my boss told me I was moving grades and needed to attend some meetings. I had no clue what she was talking about, because when she first started talking about the meetings I wasn't teaching that grade so I tuned it out.

8. Insert your own random thought here.

I'm sad that summer is ending and I will be back to work sooner than later, but hopefully I will be able to do a little more traveling.

We have a friend who says there shouldn't be chairs in meetings. Since you'd have to stand the whole time people would say only what needed to be said and be done. He might be on to something : )
