Tubing

"I don't do snow!" was my first comment.
"You will like it" was the response.
"I don't do cold." was my second.
"You can hang out in the lodge with Brian." came the response.
"I don't walk up hills or mountains." was my third.
"There is a tow rope." was the response.
"I don't have snow clothes." was my fourth.
"You can take pictures." was the response.

And that is how they got me up on the mountain, The Summit, to go tubing. As the day approached I got more and more excited to go and there was a big group of us going, but come day of one of the little ones got sick and the group shrunk, meaning less photo opportunities, but more tubing! Yee haw.
Up and down the mountain I went, getting braver and braver each time. By the end I went down face first, although I only made it about a third down the mountain, before my whole body had fallen off the tube and I was making big gouge marks in the sledding lane (SORRY!) I was just glad to make it down in one piece.
The best part of sledding down though was the ride up the hill. There was a rope that had hooks on the end, that you hooked to your tube and then it pulled you up the hill. The first two times up, I had no problem making it up the hill, but the third time about half-way up the hill, the tension between the hook and my tube went slack and off the tow rope I went. I started laughing, but didn't want to have to walk up the hill, so I ran after my hook and re-hooked my tube, but when I went to get on, it unhooked again, so I had to run again and try and re-hook. Thank goodness the second time it hooked, or I would have had to climb the hill. The whole time I was trying to re-hook I was dying laughing, cause I couldn't believe that it had happened to me. I am sure that everyone else just thought I was crazy!!!
