Weekend Update

After a busy 2 weeks right before Winter Break, things are finally starting to slow down...well after a fun filled busy weekend.
Friday started with a basketball game and a late late night dinner at the RAM thanks to a student's gift card!
Saturday I stayed in my pjs all day while I cooked and cooked and cooked some more getting ready for the Soup Party on Sunday. But that night, I cleaned up and went to the 25th Annual White Elephant Christmas Party. It was filled with fun people and even a little visit from Angelica and Michaela. YEAH! They are soo cute, but I didn't get any pictures of me with them. I didn't take my camera, but the babies mama had me taking pictures with her camera throughout the night...so maybe when she posts them on her fb page, maybe I could get some.
Although the party SAAAAIIID it was WHITE ELEPHANT, it really was a GIFT EXCHANGE. So the person that opened my gift got old gifts from my kids, mostly candy from at least a year ago and I got a basket with two snowman mugs, hot coco, stuff to make s'mores and some peppermint vodka. I would say I made out! Thanks Sherry! Sorry Angie!
Today I had two parties at the same time. I started the day at 8am cooking, cooking, and cooking more rice! I made fried rice for the halau party. Three hours later, I was showering and getting ready for the parties. I started at the halau party, which was supposed to start at noon, but most people didn't show until 1ish. I ate and then had to run off to Soup Party.
The soup party was also running a little late, so I just got to play some Dance Game, where I danced to Rump Shaker. I thought it would be an easy song, but it had a lot of jumping and moving. I was sweating and glad when it was over. I then took my soup and went back to the halau.
I got there just in time for the (real) white elephant gift exchange. I ended up with a scarf that is super cute, but I was going for a blanket that had some snowmen candles. We ended the night playing games, chatting and eating. Oh my and eating and eating. The food was soo ono!
And thanks to Aunty Bridy, Lady got a cupcake all to her self!

On the way home, I stopped off at a friend's house for some puzzle time and to watch Amazing Race.
The weekend was full of fun and this week should be as well and this time I will for sure remember to bring my camera.
