Snail Mail

Getting snail mail for me is super fun, although most of the time what I get is just junk! Ads for the grocery store, places that want my money, places that are selling me things thatI don't want. Yesterday when I checked my mail, it wasn't as full as it usually isn but it still had some interesting things inside. Like this:
I did ONE race last year and now I need a book of all the other places I can race this year...I don't think so! (so if anyone wants it, I will give it away before it hits the recycling)

Also we have been preparing for a great flood down here in the Valley, so I recieved this. I haven't done anything to prepare for it, so do I really need a whole book on what to do? I think not....well at least now, I think not.

But the best part is I got a little surprise in the mail. Shelley, years ago, had told me that she had something super special to give me. I even blogged about it here. Yesterday I finally got it. This book is the handbook for event chairs for Relay for Life and to my understanding went out throughout the whole United States. This photo has been used in many brochures and advertisements for Relay, but the most widely spread publication of it would be the handbook. I took the cover photo of two of my hula aunties who at that time were cancer survivors, although just recently Aunty Patsy (in the white hat) passed away.

-ps I'm using a new editing program, so I'm sorry that the photo's coloring is soo off. I will get it right soon.
