an event put together by wPIG (Women's Philanthropic Investment Group) in order to help the Bill and Pat Bali Fund. A friend of mine introduced me to the group and asked if I would like to donate a piece, she also donated some cards that she makes.
Upon arriving the place, Sole Repair Shop was full of people looking at art, discussing art, and just being surrounded by art. It was really great to see all the different pieces that were donated. My picture was located upstairs and when we first got there hadn't been bid on yet. It was interesting to stand by and listen to people's comments about how much they loved it. By the end of our time there (a half-hour), my piece had been bid on twice and was up to $30. I hope that as the night wore on that it increase much more than that and was able to fetch a pretty sum for the chairity.
