Lovefest!

This year, just like all the years past, Lovefest was full of wonderful food, friends, and fun! It all started 4 years ago when my Bil wanted to cook a pig out at my uncle's house for his wedding and invite all his groomsmen, so they could be involved in the process and see how it all works. So he invited his groomsmen and my uncle invited all his friends, family, and classmates and the party was born. And although the story of the starting of this party is pretty concrete, there are many different interpretations as to how this party got it's name, but really all that matters is that it was coined Lovefest and that's what we all call it!
To my recollection, this year was one of the biggest years yet. There were tents set up all over the place, people filled the house, and many rooms at the local hotel were booked to accommodate all the people. The pig was prepared and put into the ground Friday night and came out Saturday morning filling the air with it's smokey flavor. My mouth was salivating before I even got out of bed. Once the pig was fully prepared and breakfast was devoured people started coming and coming and coming. Throughout the day more food was brought and more drinks were consumed. There were some highly intense games of volleyball and a giant adult water slide. (for video of the water slide, click here)
We ate our first round at 2, continued to eat throughout the day as more food was brought in, and then had another meal late in the night.
We celebrated birthdays, we celebrated friendship, we celebrated family, we celebrated love!
