After a long day of work: working on report cards, working on planning the last few weeks with my students, working on getting my room organized, I thought I needed a break, so I headed down to the pool to cool off. It was heated to a heavenly 89 degrees a little too hot for my taste, but refreshing none the less. I swam around for awhile with my neighbors as the proceeded to talk about what they were having for dinner...tri-tip, kalbi, shrimp salad, lemon cake. It sounded wonderful, but I wasn't really invited until halfway through the conversation when they asked me to join them. I was sooo happy. I so scored a fantastic invitation, a great dinner, and fantastic conversation. Plus the Strawberry Daiquiri wasn't too bad either.
