Kapua was one of the first ones to hula and as we all continued to trickle in with our potluck items, she was getting more and more confused. She, obviously, hadn't been told that it was a potluck, but at one point she said she would have brought her leftovers from home if she knew. Aunty Sweetie actually ended up telling her it was a shower for her and then it all made sense to Kapua.
I was able to capture a few shots of her and all the fun that ensued. We played a modified game of "I never" modified in the fact that there was no drinking. Instead of drinking we were to bring spare change and as the statements were made we were asked to put money in the cookie jar for the mommy and the baby. The game started off pretty innocent in statements like, "I've never had braces," "I've never had a baby," and "I've never smoked." Then it all went down hill from there. Here is a list of other statements made taken from Tanya's blog:
*I have never gone skinny dipping
*I have never smoked pakalolo (weed for those that don't know lol)
*I have never had a bikini wax
*I have never rented a pornographic movie
*I have never owned a toy (sex toy, but the kids were all over, so we had to use "code") lol
*I have never gotten a tattoo

It was quite interesting to see people's answers as well as other people's face as money was being put in. We all had a great time and mommy and baby made a pretty good sum of money.
Then she opened some presents.
