- Late Start Days-it means staying up a little later and getting to sleep in, no make-up days at the end of the year for snow or ice or wind or for whatever else, and it makes me happy to still get to see my kids but only for a short amount of time.
- Dinner with the Parents- my parents and I used to have dinner on a pretty regular basis when I lived at home, but now that I'm in my own place it seems that time slips away from us and dinner together doesn't happen as much as it should. But last night they came down and we had dinner and chatted. There were no high stake card games, but it was still fun. They were here till 9:45 pm. We really should do it more often.
- The pitter patter of little feet- So many of my friends (8, until today when I actually found out it's 10) will be welcoming little ones into their lives this coming year. I'm so happy to get to meet them, hold them, and smell that new baby smell.
- Vacation-I love going on them and had a wonderful time with my family on our last vacation to Hawaii. I can't wait for my next one, hopefully it will be out of the country and tropical. (Plans are still in the works)
- Cooking and being domestic- Cooking for one is hard because I always end up with too much food and end up eating it forever. But lately I've been doing better at making portions smaller or inviting friends over to share the food. I've also been trying new recipes rather than making the same things over and over again. I'm having lots of fun with it as well as decorating for the holidays.
- Long-lost friends and facebook-Since I've joined facebook, I've become somewhat addicted to finding old friends. And with living all over the place, some of the friends I haven't seen since elementary. It's a great tool to be able to find people that you haven't talked to in forever as well as friends that you see everyday.
and I'll pass this along to tanya, kapua, my sister, rondee, and aunty sue
if you don't have a blog-you can post on facebook or myspace.
