It Finally Happend

We've had late start the past three days and I was really getting used to it, but today the district decided that we would close instead. I guess the snow (about 3 inches at my house) and ice, must have been to much for the buses to get the kids to school safely. Here's some shots of the crippling snow in my neighborhood. Pretty menicing huh? I guess it was worse elsewhere in Kent/Covington/Fairwood, but from what I saw I could have made it.

I was super sad, because today was supposed to be our Read-In. The kids get to wear their pjs and read all day. We had guest readers set up to come in and read with the kids and we were even going to make and eat pancakes (it's a writing assignment: procedures.) Oh well, I guess it will get rescheduled.
Oh and they've called school off for tomorrow too, so I guess that means I wont see my kids until next year! The nice thing was that I was thinking ahead and I took all my cards and presents to work yesterday, so I got all my stuff passed out. Plus I brought my laptop home, so I'll be able to take full advantage of my wirelessness over the break, but I wish I would have brought my plan book, so I could do some of that over the break.
