Last week was busy, as well as this week, but not in the same way. (I know, I know my life is always busy, but I guess you will always know if I am not doing well when I say it was a slow week.)
Last week my family came to town from Montana for the fourth and the weekend. We had a garage party for the 4th, but didn't set off any fireworks. Everyone had to work the following day (except me) so they all just went to bed early and I went home and watched the fireworks go off from the hill. It was beautiful, but I couldn't get any pictures.
My family came over the next day and that is when the Pool Nazi came out. So much for going to the pool.
Friday and Saturday I was involved in helping my halau put on Mai Kahiki Mai. It is our big fundraiser for the year. 4 halau's came up to perform in over 10 different categories. I was in charge of counting up scores and making sure that the right halaus were winning the wonderful prizes that were being awarded.
Sunday, a beautiful friend stopped by and we went and played until she had to catch her plane back home. It was great to see her and hopefully I will see her again.
Monday, I was supposed to be getting ready to go on my vacation, but GA came down and we spent the day at the pool resting and relaxing.
Tuesday, early I woke up and drove over to the hotter side of the state and took part in a class put on by NASA. It was a great class, more people should have taken it. The class lasted until Thursday when I got visit some old friends.
This weekend, although scheduled to be a girls weekend, has gotten changed and will leave me some time to hang out with Becker and then meet up with old friends from college. It should be a lot of fun. Then the party will move to my house...oh man it is a good thing that I don't work during the summer or I would be even more tired then I already am.
