Holy Guacamole

This past weekend contained one of my favorite holidays, Cinco de Mayo. Lots of Mexican food, lots of margaritas, lots of fun, and lots of laughter. I made some guacamole and my sister and I ate it outside, while everyone else worked. It was a great time. Last year I was doing the same thing, just with a different group of people.
This past week was busy with school, getting ready for a hula performance, reading for my book club, spending time with family, and making sure that I made my workouts.
The family travelled to Spokane to hang out with my sis, bil, and my niece to come. I had plans to correct papers, do some reading, and just hang out, but I was wrong in that. I didn't correct any papers. I didn't do any reading. All I did was hang out. It was a good time with my family and my God family. On Sunday, my whole family did Bloomsday. It is a 7.5 mile run/walk held in Spokane. This year 40,000 people raced. They were all ages, shapes, and sizes. We walked it and finished it in 2 hours and 50 minutes. Minus the 40 minutes we stood in line to go to the bathroom twice, we finished under the time we estimated us to be at. I'm only a little bit sore today, so that is good.
The rest of the month is as packed as the last two weeks have been, but I am going to make sure that I take the time to smell the flowers and hopefully pick some.
