Week-in-Review

This week, although short in the work sense (at least for me) has truly seemed to be longer than just 7 days. I can't believe that the new year was just a short 7 days ago.

  • New Years was fun with my halau. We went, ate, and they drank. I was glad to be with all of them as the countdown ended. Plus they fed us breakfast at the end of the night.
  • New Years Day I had lunch with my family and went shopping with my Grandma, Mom, and Aunt at 50% off Thrift Stores. (A little family tradition)
  • My kids were pretty good the first two days of school, yet the third day they were loud and crazy. I wanted to pull my hair out, but I decided to give them bugs instead.
  • We have started our bug unit and will be watching mealworms turn into beetles. Oh how I love that. We have already found 3 that were crawling around on the carpet. Will see how many make it out over this weekend.
  • I spent time with my family over vacation and had a really good time. I also found out that I will be an aunt.
  • This week was the last full week of no hula and no working out. I loved it and ate all I could until Wednesday when the diet kicked in and then the working out and hula will start this week. Oh the soreness, I will feel.
  • I got a pedicure this weekend in preparation for a party and then went to the Matador for some time with friends.
  • Watched the Seahawks squeak out a win and did some winning of my own at cards.

This week we are back to a full week at school (Yuck!) Yet then we have three days off for MLK Jr. Day (Yay!=) Although in looking at the weather we might not make the full 5, we are expecting snow (Yay!=) which means more days for us in June and possibly into July(Yuck!)
