Weekend Past

This past weekend, I got the wonderful opportunity to meet a woman I had only heard about, one who has battled so hard for so long, one who has touched many lives, one who just keeps on going. Her name is Mama G, or Corazon. She has done so many wonderful things for people and has most recently been battling cancer, so her family thought they would celebrate her birthday by throwing a big bash. The Estrogen Militia decorated and helped served..."Thigh or a Leg?" and then were let loose for some dancing and fun photo opps. The best part though, was when Fort, Mama G's man, sang a song he "just wrote last night" called Lady in Red to Mama G. It brought tears to many eyes.
