Ticking Away

The minutes are ticking away until school starts...I am so tired, but can't sleep. I am nervous and want the kids to have a good first day of first grade. I also want to make sure that they understand that at home they can be the boss, but in school I'm the boss and although they can have creative collaboration, it is my word that is ultimate law...or pretty close to something like that. I think back to last year and remember a little girl wanting her mom and all I could think, is that I want my mom too. Okay, I am going to try to sleep again. I will post about the weekend soon. It was my last wedding of the year and a some good times with friends.
