No Bear Is Going to Scare Me!

And therefore we were out hiking again today.  This time, we headed out to Rattlesnake Ledge located in the North Bend area.

I had heard about this hike forever and wanted to make sure to do it, before I headed East.  Luckily, I had read some reviews and it said the trail was heavily traveled, so up and at 'em we went early this morning.  We started the trail close to seven

and up, up, we went.  The trail was very well kept and luckily for us many of the people we did meet were on their way down after watching the sunrise.  It wasn't too hard as the switch backs made for easier traversing up the side of the mountain until we got close to the top and then I did a little huffing and puffing.

But the view made up for all of it. It was amazing!

Here we are back at the lake, after our accomplishment of the mountain behind us.

Of course we were hungry when we were done, so we went to Dairy Freeze in North Bend, not realizing or knowing it was Alpine Festival.  We had to do a lot of maneuvering as we couldn't get downtown because of a parade.  Thankfully we did and had yummy lunch and got to see the crazy pirates ride their ship through town and shoot off their cannons.
