He played football, basketball, and baseball. He lettered for 2 years in football and baseball and lettered for 3 years in basketball. He was Football 5A MVP in football and All-State Defensive Back. The football team captain and played in the East-West Shrine Football Game. He was also team MVP football and baseball his senior year. He was baseball All State Second Baseman, played in the 1982 Oregon State AAA All Stars baseball. He was drafted by the Phillies and played for the farm team in Kamloops, Canada. And yesterday he was inducted into his High School Hall of Fame.
To say he was nervous before his speech and being given the award would have been an understatement. His heart was beating out of his chest. Watching the Ducks play probably didn't help. It was an all and out battle against the Huskies. But thank goodness they won.
