We took a guided tour at the Dam and got to see the place where they count the fish that come through the dam and how they do it....someone has to sit there and watch as the fish come through and click the little clicker for each fish! What a job. We then got an up close and personal look at the fish and then headed over to the Dam and got to view the inside of it and a cool museum that housed tons of information about what happened in the Wenatchee Valley.
After that, we had lunch on the lush greens and then headed over to Ohme Gardens. It is gorgeous with wonderful views. A couple came to Wenatchee looking to build a house, but because they couldn't get a loan for the house, they started working on the grounds, so that part would be ready when they were finally able to build their home. They took trees and ground cover from the Cascade mountains and transplanted it there on this hillside. They also had to haul water from the river valley up to their land to keep everything lush. It became a place that everyone wanted to see, so the couple opened it up for friends and family thinking that after they saw it once, no one else would want to come, but he was wrong. Everyone was so amazed at the site, they kept coming and coming.
