Finaaaallllly back at the gym today and it felt sooo good.
Overheard a lady say she swam 20 laps in 20 mins, so of course I wanted to beat her or match her, so that was my goal. I did a pretty good job of getting 10 in pretty fast, but then I must have slowed a bit, because I had to work hard to get the last 10 in. Sadly, I didn't make it in 20 min, but in 25 instead.
I was kind of down, but when I went back to talk to the lady about how much she swam this morning, I found out that I totally heard her wrong. COMPLETELY WRONG! She said she swam 18 laps in 30 mins. Not even close to what I thought I heard. Sadly, it didn't even compute in my head that if she swam 20 laps in 20 mins, she was swimming a lap a min.
Needless to say, I did really well today!! I will be back at it in the morning, but I'm also going to add some biking and then hit the pool. Hoping for another good morning workout.
