Spring has sprung in my classroom and I'm not so excited about it. The girls are writing notes about the boys. "He gave me his pencil." "He's so cute." Which I guess means that notes are getting passed in my class, although I haven't seen them do it yet. I hope that it only happened when the sub was there. The boys are talking to the girls they sit by, when they used to just sit there and ignore them. Oh man!
I have 3 boys that have become the best of buddies and of course they are the boys you don't want to be friends. The are loud and ruckus and are starting to cause a lot of trouble! The other day, they decided to hold up the line from coming up the stairs, so they got yelled at by another teacher in teacher in the hall as I was at the beginning of the line.
I had a group of kids that needed to stay in for recess and a group going out for recess, I choose to stay with the kids in my classroom as the kids going out to recess were the good kids. Bad decision. They decided to run down the stairs and out the doors for recess. So when recess was over I had them come in, sent the kids not involved to the computer lab and made the kids who ran to do stairs. Up and down, up and down, up and down. Hopefully it will help them remember next time not to run.
The weird thing is that this is all happening right before conference time. Do they not realize that I'm going to be talking to their parents? And they are going to be right there with me?
