1. So, when did you last take a walk in the woods? A stroll along the beach? A drive going nowhere in particular in the car?
It feels like I just walked in the woods and along the beach, but it was back in October when I got to go out to camp with the 6th graders. I love being in the outdoors and doing whatever seems to come naturally.
2. Are you sending Christmas cards this year? About how many do you
send? Photo card or something more traditional? How do you display the
cards you receive?
I don't know. I send cards every year and I have started to get a back stock of them (photo cards and regular ones), so I'm thinking I might just send those, but I'm also thinking about saving the environment and sending electronic cards instead. Yet, I really like getting things in the mail, so I don't know yet. I guess I'm really undecided at this point.
3. What's a word you've heard too much of in the past week?
"Don't touch me!" 2 of my kids think its the funniest thing to say at the top of their lungs during the school day. And mind you, they are in 5th grade and the way they are being touched is when someone happens to brush past them or accidentally taps them. They are not hurt, nothing is wrong. They just think it's fun to announce it to everyone. Let's just say the whole class got talked to about this today and if this continues, then those 2 will be getting a bigger talking to.
4. December 13th is National Cocoa Day-are you a fan? Plain or flavored? Marshmallows or no marshmallows?
Totally a fan of Hot coco. I've drank my far share of it growing up and the past few years. Lately my favorite thing to do is to put it in the work coffee, so I get a mocha of sorts. I'm a plain hot coco girl, no flavors please, but for sure some marshmallows and no whip cream.
5. What is something you do to help alleviate the hectic pace of the Christmas season?
Make a list. Always have to have a list, so you can cross things off. (I'm soo happy to cross things off that sometimes I even put things on the list that I've already done, just so I can cross them off! Crazy, I know!) Also having just a day to devote all your energy to yourself and things you want to do helps a lot. I took a day just for me and did what I wanted to do and I loved it.
6. Besides jewelry, what's a favorite sparkly-glittery item in your home or closet?
The fun red and silver garland that is on top of my hearth right now. It has silver and red stars that poke out of it as well. It is nice and bushy too. I've tried to use it the past few years, but the metal (or faux metal) has interrupted my rabbit ears and the incoming reception of my tv, so I haven't been able to use it, but now that I'm a receiver of the most basic cable, I can use my garland.
7. Share a favorite line or two from any Christmas carol.
We three Kings of Orient are...
Silent Night, holy night....
Oh holy night...

I've seriously gone Pintrest crazy. You can't look anywhere in my house without seeing something pintrest. I love it and the calming affect that crafting has on me....well most of the time...

I'm a big fan of Pinterest too and have made a lot from my Christmas board this year. My sweet tooth board too : )
Joyce- pintrest is crazy addicting, especially when crafting is your outlet.
