Saw It. Pinned It. Did It.

I saw this gorgeous picture above the mantel a few years and knew I had to have it for my own,

it just took awhile for me to get a round to actually making it, but I finally got to it. I knew that I wanted to paint it on to some wood, so I thought I'd hit up home depot for some plywood,

but when I got there, Home Depot had a better option. They had plywood that was painted with chalkboard paint.

I thought, "Ooooh that would be fun to use, then I could change the saying and use it all year round in different places in my house. Plus it was less than a dollar difference than the plain plywood. So after some consulting of Taylor, the Home Depot employee, I was in.  He took me to the back and cut the board in half, as I didn't need a 2'x4' board for my mantel and then I was off to my house.

I brought some chalk home from school

and then I wrote and wrote and rewrote the quote until I came up with the way I liked it

up it went on the mantel.

I'm in love.
