Sadness

I can only imagine the heartache and gut wrenching feeling that all involved are feeling right now. Finding out about it and then reading the articles about it sent chills up my spin and my eyes welled up with tears. It made me wonder if this happened in my school, would I be able to keep my kids safe?
I don't keep my keys to my classroom with me, so could I find them in time to get my door locked? Would we be in the classroom? Would my classroom be the first one hit?  Would they just blow out the window in my door and come right in?  How would my kids react?  Would they follow my directions?  What would I do if it was lunch time and I wasn't with them? Would I be able to keep them all safe?  So many questions and not enough answers.
So now all I can do is keep that elementary, family, and friends in my prayers.
