Wednesday Hodgepode

1. In an effort to combat obesity, the mayor of NYC has plans to ban the sale of large sugary drinks (anything over 16 oz.), initially in restaurants, movie theatres, and street carts. Corner stores would also be affected if they are defined as food service establishments. You can read more here . Your thoughts?

I think it's ridiculous. Why should the mayor be able to regulate what we consume? People should be in charge of themselves and their own body, not the government. And really is that going to stop people?

2. Art festival, music festival, food festival...which would you most like to attend?

Hmmm, probably food. I love it!

3. What are you irrational about?

Nothing! I'm not irrational about anything.

4. Do you feel confident you'll have a comfortable retirement?

I'm so ready to retire, comfortably, ummm never really thought about that. I always talk about retiring and all the things I want to do when I retire, but really I love teaching and could do it for awhile more, especially considering I'm only 35 and my retirement right now is nowhere close to being comfortable.

5. What's been your favorite Olympic moment so far?
(Not ever, just in the 2012 Summer games)

OOOH, there have been so many. I think I will have to go with the US Gymnast winning gold.

6. What would you label as the messiest room in your house?

I have no messy rooms. :-)

7. Do you follow your heart or your head?

I think depending on what is being thought about it depends. My head in some instances and my heart all the way in others.

8. Insert your own random thought here.

Sadly summer is almost over. 3 weeks left and then I start a new chapter.
